Hot on the heels of their second album's release, The Shit are dropping the anchor in the sea of musical releases with a new Extended Play 10" colored vinyl and CD. This time working with Left Front Door Records in Paris for the release.

Screamer/Songwriter of The Shit, Robert Butler, and his band have been collaborating with Mr. David Catching (Guitarist of Eagles Of Death Metal, earthlings?, Peaches, Mohave Lords, ex QOTSA) since 2011. Butler and Catching have been close friends since the mid-80's and the two discussed for years about a recording project; and their first LP/CD, Dingleberry Fields Forever, was their first full blown production. Catching produced The Shit's first LP at his home studio Rancho De La Luna in Joshua Tree, California. As the band embarked on the second recording session Catching was able to donate four songs worth of stellar guitar tracks for their sophomore release aptly titled "No. 2”, both albums being released on Subversiv Records in Bern, Switzerland.

In early November 2015, Arthur Dénouveaux from Paris ordered the latest LP from the band’s website. After some email exchange Arthur announced he will celebrate his purchase by listening to his new album after coming home from the concert of Eagles Of Death Metal on November 13th at the Bataclan. As we all know what horror happened that night, the band hooked back up with Arthur and found that he was a survivor. As a black cloud covered the world for months Arthur had asked The Shit if they would like to release some tracks on his new record label featuring David Catching. The idea was to create a musical project to get over the trauma of the massacre and let the love of music flow once again through our veins. In the process The band happily agreed and we now have a fresh new disc to bring to the world on Arthur's label 'Left Front Door Records' entitled: Rue du Chocolat.
